Getting up to use the bathroom and finding a large cat tucked into the sink is a very normal — and very funny — part of life in our house.
This painting began with one cat, then grew into two cats, a sink, a faucet, and eventually the background. I find that the tiny details, like the white in the eyes or the texture of the fur, really bring the painting to life.
The final step is bringing the wallpaper and backboard to life. Since this piece has no deadline, I’m taking my time and letting it become as cozy as possible.
